With an arrival at 4450m above sea level, it is a very good acclimation hike of about two hours but which offers steep slopes. It is advisable to have already made one or two trips before committing to this lagoon. The last climb is a semi-climbing on rocks where cables are fixed to help the hiker to climb the last meters, no technique is required. Between Quebradas Cojup and Quilcayhuanca this hike will also offer you a wonderful panorama of the city of Huaraz.
